We work closely with a range of suppliers and trades service to provide unique and personal reupholstered and upholstered custom pieces . Sourcing beautiful fabric to create bespoke headboards, window seats, bench seats, sofas, armchairs, stools and more is all part of the service. Custom pieces create those special moments throughout your home.

The Process

Phase 1 | DISCOVERY
We have an initial 15 minute, no-obligation phone call to discuss what the interior design job entails and what you’d like me to achieve within your space/home.

Phase 2 | DESIGN CONSULT
A design consultation is then scheduled (this usually takes 120 minutes ) so we can do a walkthrough of your plans or home and you can tell me what you’re wanting to achieve with your spaces. We discuss ideas during this time and then I can work collaboratively with you moving forward and bring your ideas to life.

PHASE 3 | CREATIVE DIRECTION
We create design concepts and mood boards to ensure we’re on the same page in terms of style and the overall look and feel you are wanting to achieve, colour schemes, finishes and furniture specification which I then source for you New Zealand wide.

PHASE 4 | SELECTIONS
You will be provided with samples, selections and finishes which you can choose from, or alternatively if you’ve got a more specific idea in mind, we can organise a shopping trip to a range of suppliers where we can pull together your dream spaces.

PHASE 5 | SOURCING
We source and order everything you require for the job such as fabric for curtains, blinds, shutters, carpet & flooring, wallpaper & paint schemes, hardware, furniture and soft furnishings with the added bonus giving you great trade discounts.

PHASE 6 | INSTALL
Lastly, once all your goodies have arrived we install everything and bring the design concept to life. Your spaces are then all yours to enjoy!

It is advised that you make purchases through Katy Rolleston Design. Not only does this mean you get a sharper pricing but it also means that we can take care of the whole process from purchasing to deliveries and if you there any issues further down the track we sort it for you.
how long will our project take?
No two jobs are the same. This really comes down to how much input you are wanting & requiring. During an initial 15 minute no obligation phone call we can discuss your options then.
